The Shellbot SL60 robot vacuum cleans and vacuums while you relax

Cleaning your floors can be a tedious and boring job, especially when it comes to vacuuming and mopping.

With the growing popularity of robot vacuums, now is a great time to make the switch and let a robot do some of your cleaning for you.

The Shellbot SL60 is a two-in-one robot vacuum and mop that can help you with your daily tasks. It has 4000Pa suction power with LiDAR navigation and convenient control via smartphone app.

The Shellbot SL60 is available on Amazon for $309.99. Let’s see what it’s all about.

Good

So let’s start with what we love about the Shellbot SL60. There are tons of different robot vacuums available today, so it’s good to know exactly what each is capable of when looking to pick one up.

Starting off, the SL60 features a high-powered brushless motor that enables suction power of up to 4,000 Pa. Such power can handle even some of the finest particles in your floor.

It is equipped with LiDAR navigation and AI recognition to help avoid obstacles while cleaning. It has drop protection to prevent the device from falling down stairs, but the company recommends that you add a physical barrier to keep the robot vacuum safe.

It also features an automatic power boost that boosts suction to full power to clean carpets. And with a 5,200mAh battery, it can clean for up to 200 minutes before automatically returning to its docking station to recharge.

As we mentioned earlier, the SL60 isn’t just for vacuuming. The device comes with a two-in-one water tank that you can attach instead of the dust tank. Using this option, you can both mop and vacuum, which takes the strain off your plate even more.

All of this can be controlled via the Shellbot iOS and android application. When you download the app and connect it to your device, you have full control over the functions of the SL60. You can map your home using the app, set no-go zones, and even schedule cleanings at certain times.

The bad

Of course, the SL60 isn’t perfect, and there are definitely a few things that could be improved on the device. Here are some things that could be improved on the SL60 robot vacuum cleaner:

No dump station: One feature you find on some robot vacuums that isn’t available with the SL60 is a dump station. Instead, you’ll have to manually empty the trash from time to time.

The trash can is a bit small: Along the same lines as the previous complaint, the SL60’s dustbin is rather small.

Depending on how much cleaning you do, you may need to manually empty the trash can quite often. And the trash can is even smaller when you use the two-in-one vacuum and mop attachment.

Will not replace the traditional mop: While the SL60’s mopping function is handy, it won’t replace traditional mopping.

Sometimes cleaning takes a little elbow grease to get those stubborn stains off your floor. The SL60 just doesn’t have the power to tackle the toughest stains.

That being said, the mopping function of this robot vacuum is super convenient and helps you keep your floors consistently shiny without having to constantly mop by hand.

These are the only real complaints I have with the SL60. There are definitely some improvements that could be made to the device but overall it does what it was supposed to do and is a nice addition to your daily cleaning repertoire.

Should you buy the SL60 robot vacuum cleaner?

As I said earlier, there are tons of different robot vacuums on the market today. You can pay between a few hundred dollars and a few thousand dollars for a robot vacuum, each with different levels of performance.

When it comes to the SL60, you get what you pay for.

The device has a powerful 4000 Pa suction and an impressive battery for long cleaning sessions. The companion app is handy and lets you set up a cleaning schedule the way you want.

And that’s not to mention two-in-one cleaning and vacuuming. If you’re looking for a robot vacuum and don’t want to break the bank, Shellbot’s SL60 is a good option to try.

Just note that you will have to clean this bin by hand from time to time as there is no automatic drain tower.

Again, the Shellbot SL60 is available at Amazon for $399.99.

BONUS OFFER: For a limited time, Shellbot is offering readers a special discount that drops the SL60 robot vacuum to just $213. Simply clip the $60 coupon on the spot to get the discount. The coupon will expire on June 19.
